Subscription and Billing Policy

1. Overview

This Subscription and Billing Policy explains how Karsaaz AI, legally owned by Karsaaz EBS Ltd (UK), operated by Karsaaz EBS Pvt Ltd (Pakistan), and supported by Karsaaz Solutions under a service-level agreement, manages subscription services, billing cycles, cancellations, auto-renewals, and payments. By subscribing to Karsaaz AI, you agree to these terms.

2. Subscription Model

  • Karsaaz AI offers its services exclusively through mobile applications available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • Access to premium AI modules is granted based on the subscription plan purchased via the respective app platform.
  • For Android Users: Subscriptions are purchased externally using secure Stripe or PayPal checkout flows.
  • For iOS Users: Subscriptions are managed via Apple’s In-App Purchase (IAP) system.
  • Subscription tiers and pricing details are displayed within the mobile app based on platform.

3. Payment Processing

  • All payments are securely processed through industry-compliant third-party providers:
  • Android App: Stripe and PayPal (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant)
  • iOS App: Apple In-App Purchase (IAP), handled directly by Apple
  • Accepted methods include:
  • Credit and debit cards, applicable e-wallets (via Stripe/PayPal on Android)
  • Apple billing methods (via IAP on iOS)
  • Successful authorization by the user’s bank or payment provider is required to activate subscriptions.

4. Auto-Renewal Policy

  • Subscriptions auto-renew by default at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually).
  • Android App Users (Stripe/PayPal): Renewal charges are applied automatically unless the user cancels via their billing email link or Stripe customer portal.
  • iOS App Users (Apple IAP): Auto-renewal is managed by Apple and can be modified or canceled directly from the user’s Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Users are responsible for canceling before the renewal date to avoid additional charges.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Users can cancel their subscriptions at any time through their respective platforms:
  • Android Users: By accessing their Stripe subscription management link provided via email.
  • iOS Users: By using Apple’s subscription management settings under their Apple ID account.
  • Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period.
  • Users retain access to their plan features until the end of the already paid term.

6. Billing Currency and Taxes

  • All prices and subscriptions are billed exclusively in United States Dollars (USD).
  • Currency conversion, if required, will be handled by the user’s bank or payment provider.
  • Applicable taxes (e.g., VAT, GST, Digital Services Tax) may be added based on your country of residence or billing address.
  • Users are responsible for any additional fees charged by their bank or card provider for international transactions.

7. Promotions & Free Trials

  • Karsaaz AI may offer occasional promotional discounts or free trials to allow users to explore select features.
  • Free trials automatically convert into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period, unless canceled in advance:
  • Android App Users: Cancellation must be done via the Stripe-provided customer portal.
  • iOS App Users: Cancellation must be done through the user’s Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Users will be notified of trial expiration via in-app alerts and/or email (if enabled).
  • Promotional offers are limited-time, non-transferable, and may be changed or revoked without notice.
  • Misuse of trials through duplicate accounts or abuse of promotions may result in account restriction or cancellation without refund.

8. Pricing Changes

  • Karsaaz AI reserves the right to adjust its pricing structure in response to new services, operational costs, or regional changes.
  • All users will be notified of upcoming price changes at least 7 days in advance via in-app notifications or email (where applicable).
  • Android Users (Stripe/PayPal): Updated prices will apply to the next billing cycle; users may cancel or downgrade plans before renewal.
  • iOS Users (Apple IAP): Apple will notify and manage renewals in accordance with its App Store policies.
  • Continued use of services after the notice period implies acceptance of the updated pricing.

9. Failed Payment Handling

If a payment fails:

 

  • For Apple iOS Users:
  • Payments made through Apple’s In-App Purchase (IAP) are managed by Apple. Any failed transactions, subscription pauses, or renewal issues must be handled through the user’s Apple ID account settings.
  • For Android Users (Stripe/PayPal):
  • Users will be notified via email if a payment attempt fails.
  • Access to paid modules may be temporarily suspended until payment is resolved.
  • Persistent payment failure may result in account deactivation.
  • All payments are securely processed via Stripe or PayPal and comply with PCI-DSS and applicable privacy regulations.

10. In-App Purchase Restriction

Karsaaz AI operates with platform-based payment systems:

  • iOS App (Apple Store):
  • All in-app purchases are processed using Apple’s official IAP system. External payment options are not available inside the iOS app.
  • Android App:
  • Payments are processed externally via the Karsaaz AI website using Stripe and PayPal. No Google Play billing is used within the app.
  • Website Note:
  • The Karsaaz AI website is static and not used for any interactive payment or onboarding. All billing is handled through the mobile app only.
  • This platform-specific model ensures:
  • Compliance with Apple and Android billing policies
  • Transparent and secure transaction handling
  • Avoidance of third-party commission conflicts where applicable

11. Third-Party Payment Disclaimer

All billing is processed via trusted external gateways Stripe paypal Karsaaz AI disclaims liability for issues directly caused by third-party services.

  • Users must resolve disputes or errors with the payment provider directly

12. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the [Refund Policy]. Refund eligibility is limited for digital services:

  • Once AI content, summaries, reports, or data are generated, the service is deemed used.
  • Partial refunds are not available for used subscription periods.

13. Governing Law

This Subscription and Billing Policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan.

  • Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Islamabad

Users in the UK, EU, or USA may also be entitled to additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, and respective laws
